cPanel out of memory errors
===========================
Often it is noticed that some services in cPanel fails due to less memory. On checking the log file at /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log, you will find error message as follows:
============
Out of memory during request for 2180 bytes, total sbrk() is 130234368 bytes!
============
The first thing that will come to our mind is about the server's memory. Of course insufficient memory in the server can cause cPanel services to fail. Out of memory messages will be clearly indicated in '/var/log/dmesg' or in '/var/log/messages'.
But there is another parameter that we should check when cPanel services are failing due to less memory. You need to check the cPanel internal memory limit. You can check it through WHM -> Tweak Settings -> System -> Max cPanel process memory. You may increase it as desired.
The value can be changed from back-end as well. Check the parameter 'maxmem' in '/var/cpanel/ cpanel.config'.
