We can configure in built ftp account for joomla. Following are the steps:
1. Login to your Joomla site.
2. Select Global Configuration.
3. In the popup box, click on 'Server' .
4. Now start configuring FTP as follows.
FTP Settings are as follows, most of the settings will have default value given at the Installation time:
* Enable FTP: This setting tells Joomla to use it's built-in FTP function.
* FTP Host: The server's URL connecting the FTP.
* FTP Port: The port where the FTP is accessed. The default setting is 21.
* FTP User-name: The user-name that Joomla will use when accessing the FTP server.
* FTP Password: The password that Joomla will use when accessing the FTP server.
* FTP Root: The root directory where files should be uploaded to.
