« on: November 08, 2013, 05:12:13 pm »
Hi Guys,

As you all know, by default "root" user is disabled in MAC OS. If you want to enable it, please follow the steps given below.

1) Go to Apple menu
2) Choose System Preferences
3) Go to View menu
4) Choose Users & Groups
5) Click the lock and authenticate as an administrator account
6) Click Login Options
7) Click "Edit" or "Join"
8) Click the "Open Directory Utility"
9) Click the lock in the Directory Utility window.
10) Enter an administrator account name and password, then click OK.
11) Choose Enable Root User from the Edit menu.
12) Enter the root password you wish to use in both the Password and Verify fields, then click OK.

That's it! You just enabled the root user.
