How to disable root user in MAC?
« on: November 08, 2013, 05:06:40 pm »
Hi Guys,

Sometimes, because of security concerns you may have to disable the root user in MAC and it's actually a pretty easy job. Please follow the steps below.

1) Go to Apple menu
2) Choose System Preferences
3) Go to View menu
4) Choose Users & Groups
5) Click on the lock and authenticate with an administrator account.
6) Click Login Options
7) Click the "Edit" or "Join".
8) Click the "Open Directory Utility"
9) Click the lock in the Directory Utility window.
10) Enter an administrator account name and password, then click OK.
11) Choose Disable Root User from the Edit menu.

That's it. You just disabled the root user.
