We may face a situation where we forgot the LiteSpeed Admin password.
Follow below steps to reset the admin password for LiteSpeed WebServer:
Login to the server via SSH
1. Go to /usr/local/lsws/admin/misc
2. Run sh admpass.sh
3. Output will look like :
Please specify the user name of administrator.
This is the user name required to login the administration Web interface.
User name [admin]: admin
Please specify the administrator’s password.
This is the password required to login the administration Web interface.
Password:
Retype password:
Administrator’s username/password is updated successfully!
It will ask for the username type (admin) and password you want to set.
