Title: Checking Available Diskspace For Windows 2008
Post by: lathu_official on March 13, 2015, 03:03:26 pm
Log into your Windows 2008 server via Remote Desktop.

* Navigate to the Windows Explorer where you can see the total available space of your drive/s and the total amount of space being used on the server.

* Further details can be obtained with Treesize which will show you the amount of space being used per directory  Treesize Free can be downloaded by going to http://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/.

* Once you have downloaded Treesize Free, simply install and launch it. With Treesize Free open, you will need to click on "Scan" and then choose the drive that you want to review. Depending on the size of the  drive and the amount of CPU processing power you have on your server, it may take some time to complete.

* When Treesize has finished scanning the selected drive you will have a complete listing of the amount of space and what is consuming the space.  You can then right click on any result to go directly to that folder.

Cheers!! ;) 8)
