Title: Enable Audio Redirection via RDP
Post by: Vinil on January 10, 2014, 03:18:47 pm
To enable audio mapping for Remote Desktop to the local machine we can perform it through Terminal Services Configuration (in Windows 2003 servers) or Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration (from Windows 2008 servers).

You can run the "Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration" from three places :
- Through Start Menu
- Through Server Manager
- Through Microsoft Management Console

From Start menu ->  Click Run -> type tsconfig.msc and then press ENTER.

- Right Click on "RDP-Tcp" connection and click on "Properties".
- Click on "Client Settings"
- Uncheck options "Audio and Video playback"  and "Audio Recording" so that these options are no longer disabled.

- User need to log off from current session. During next Log on session, audio will be enabled and you should be able to hear "audio" remotely.
