How to add static IPs to windows machine

Hi,

IPs can be assigned static as well as dynamic. Normally the VPSs are having static IPs. You can follow the steps to add a static IP as mentioned below

Now you can open the command prompt and do an ipconfig  to see the network adapter settings have been successfully changed.
Here you have to specify IPv4 IP address settings like IP address, subnet mask and default gateway.

You can use google's name servers as DNS server to get high threshold. Check Validate settings upon exit so Windows can find any problems with the addresses you entered. When you’re finished click OK.

Now you can open the command prompt and do an ipconfig  to see the network adapter settings have been successfully changed.
