How to change RDP port.
« on: October 27, 2013, 02:57:38 am »
Hello,

With the help of this article you can change the port that Remote Desktop listens on.

Start Registry Editor.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:

-------------------------------------
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\TerminalServer\WinStations\RDP-Tcp\PortNumber
-------------------------------------

Double-click or right-click on the “PortNumber” registry subkey, select the decimal base and type the port number of your choice (the default port is 3389, in this example, we selected port 3390). Click on “Ok” to save your selection.

Note The Remote Desktop Connection Client for the Mac supports only port 3389. 3389 is the default port.

Thank you,
