Wondering how to map a USB drive to a virtual machine in Hyper-V?

 To map a USB drive to a virtual machine in Hyper-V:


* Add a new hard drive to the virtual machine
* Log into the virtual machine’s operating system and load the Windows disk management tools
* Right click the disk you added and take the disk offline
* In Hyper-V change the properties of the virtual disk to point to the USB drive you have inserted into the Hyper-V host
* Click OK to map the USB drive to the virtual machine
