5. How to use ServerWatch (Plesk)


Notice: This product has been discontinued as of 20th March 2019 from our product list. Any further development and all related support services would also be discontinued. You can, however, continue to use this product, and any related support services would come under our per hour administrative charge of $25 (USD).
 
ServerWatch (Plesk) is an integrated solution that allows administrators to monitor SSH and Plesk admin login history, as well as IP based connection history for SSH, Plesk and Mailbox access.

It allows administrators to set email alerts for server load, root access and mail queue.


Home Page


The Home page of ServerWatch (Plesk) has details of:

* SSH Root Logins

* SSH User Logins

* Admin Logins

* POP/IMAP Logins

The SSH Root Logins and SSH User Logins shows the User, Host and Time of logins. The Admin Logins shows Host, Time and Action of the Host.

SSH Settings



Click on the “SSH Configuration” and you can set the SSH Port there.

Click on “Apply” button for the port to take effect.

You can reset the port by clicking the button, “Reset”.


The SSH Root Login can be enabled by clicking on “Yes” and can be disabled by clicking on “No”.


The Authentication Method can be made Password authentication or Key authentication.

This can be done by clicking on “Password” or on “Key”.


Enable Root Access Mail Alert by clicking on “Enabled” and can disable by clicking on “Disabled”.

Mail Features


Mail Queue

The Mail Queue setting of Admin-Ahead Server Watch extension, enables you to know the current mail transfer agent. You can also view the Mail Queue count.

In Mail Queue Settings, the Mail queue Alert can be either enabled or disabled.

For the queue log, there are three options:

* Refresh Mail Queue: This will help you to refresh the mail queue and receive the emails in the queue.

* Force send mail in the queue: This helps you to force to send emails in the queue that were not sent earlier.

* Remove all emails in the queue: This will help in removing all emails from the queue and clear the queue manually.

Mail Stat



There are two options to classify the emails:

* Domain Wise

* Mailbox Wise


There are options to view the incoming hourly history and outgoing hourly history with the details of Hour, Mail Account and Count.




Load Monitoring


The Load Monitoring helps to view the current load average. This helps you to view the load without using a terminal

You can Enable/Disable Load Monitor alert feature by selecting the “Load Monitoring” tab and select Enabled or Disabled.

You can set the load limit by providing the limit against “Load Limit” and provide an email id for the alerts to be sent and click “Save Changes” to save the settings.

Please note that load limit given should be a whole number (eg: 10).
