How to setup your DNS cluster using gDNS

To setup up the DNS cluster using gDNS first install the Controller server, followed by the Failover controller (optional), then the Transfer servers and finally the Edge servers.

1. Setup Controller Server

Add the Transfer servers and Edge servers to the cluster from the Controller interface. If you are using a Failover server then add the Failover server and a Edge server in the Controller interface.

Follow the link below to install and setup the Controller server.

2. Setup Failover Controller

Failover server interface is exactly the same as that of the Controller. Add the Edge servers and Transfer servers added in the Controller interface here also. Another point to note is that the main Controller should be added as a Edge server here.

Follow the link below to install and setup the Failover Controller

Skip to the next step if you are not setting up a Failover now.

3. Setup Transfer Cluster

You can add cPanel servers, Linux Plesk servers and Windows Plesk servers to the transfer cluster.

Follow the link below to install the plugin in cPanel server.

After installation go to the plugin/extension interface and select the Settings tab. Add Controller server IP, Failover server IP and Controller key and click submit. You can get the Controller key from the Controller interface under Settings tab.
If you do not have a Failover server then you can leave the Failover IP field blank.

4. Setup Edge Servers
