6. What is the Advanced Malware Scan in cPShield-v2 plugin for cPanel/WHM

The Advanced Malware Scan in  cPShield-v2 plugin is broadly divided into 4 categories:

Scan Now

    ->  The "All Users" option allows a quick scan of all users and once Scan is clicked, the plugin starts a scan for Malware on all Users.
   
     -> The "Custom Path" option allows a directory path to be entered into the text box and once Scan now is clicked, the plugin starts a scan for Malware on that path.

     -> The Most Recent Scan result is also can be seen at the bottom of the window.

Monitoring

   ->  Monitoring Interval allows setting a time schedule for monitoring.
   ->  Select either "Users" or "Custom Path" that want to monitor and by click on Save Changes will enable the Real-Time Monitoring of Users or Custom path. Once enabled, it can be    turned off by clicking the  "Disable Real-time Monitoring".

Report

   -> The Report section shows the Scan Report/Quarantine log for the last few scans which have been conducted on the server along with scan date and session ID. On clicking  Delete button will help you to remove the reports from the logs.

Settings


   -> The " Exempted Directory" shows the list of directories which will not be scanned (will be skipped) while scanning for Malware. Alternately, there are options to add and remove directories from this list as per requirement. 
   -> The "Exempted file Extensions" shows the list of file extensions which will be skipped while scanning for Malware. Alternately, there are options to add and remove file extensions from this list as per requirement.
   -> The Update button to save the Exempted Directory/file to the settings.
  ->  The "Configuration" option allows you to "Turn on Email Alert" which in turn allows the user to Enter an Email address or change an Existing Email Address. Once this has been set, the results of a Malware scan is sent to that email. Conversely, there is also an option to "Turn Off Email Alert". Click the Save button to update/save the email alert setting
