If the cPanel update gets blocked with the following error:
"FATAL: IPv6 is disabled. You must have the “ipv6” module compiled or loaded into the kernel and the AF_INET6 address family available."
It is just because the cPanel authority has made it compulsory that the ipv6 module must be loaded into the server.
Earlier it was the decision of the user to enable it or not. The reason why they have included this update blocker is that many parts of the product now break if the IPv6 address family isn't
available in the kernel.
In order to resolve the issue, you need to boot the kernel with ipv6.disabled=1 or
otherwise set that option on module load.
