How to fix error when creating add-on domain in cPanel?
« on: November 05, 2013, 10:07:25 am »

Sometimes, you may get the following error message when trying to create an add-on domain:

Error from park wrapper: Using nameservers with the following IPs: xx.xx.xx.xx,xx.xx.xx.xx Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.

The reason for the error message is that the add-on is currently resolving to another server and not using the DNS servers associated with the server where you are creating the domain.

This issue can be resolved by following the bellow given steps:

  • Login to WHM.
  • Go to Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings
  • Search for the option “Allow Remote Domains” under Domains and check the box corresponding to On.
  • Now go to cPanel and create add-on domain.
  • Revert back the changes you have made in Tweak Settings.

Please note that enabling the option “Allow Remote Domain” permanently is not recommended for security reasons.
