How to open FTP Passive ports!
« on: February 01, 2014, 02:49:37 pm »
Hi,

You can open FTP Passive port from the command prompt as well as Windows Firewall. Passive Ports restricts the range of ports from which the server will select when sent the PASV command from a client. The server will randomly choose a number from within the specified range until an open port is found. Should no open ports be found within the given range, the server will default to a normal kernel-assigned port, and a message logged.

FTP Passive port can be opened by this command.

"%plesk_bin%\ftpmng.exe" --set-ftp-passive-port-range --range="55815-58925"

Thank you,
