Open a port in a windows firewall
« on: November 09, 2013, 01:29:54 pm »
Hi,

We might needed to open a port in windows firewall to allow connections to server via that port. The following steps are useful in doing so.

1, Click Start, and then open Control Panel.

2, Under Control Panel, click System and Security

3, Under System and Security, click Windows Firewall

4, Click on Advanced settings from the left action pane

5, On Advanced settings window you will need to click on Inbound Rules to list current rules. After that click on New Rule to add one.

6, select the PORT

7, Select TCP and define the port. Say 1935

8, Check the Allow the connection

9, Select the profiles to which the rule applies

10, Enter a name and a description to make the rule unique

That is it. :)
