How to upload and restore MSSQL databases from WSP

Hi,

Websitepanel is a good control panel comes along with windows machines. We can backup as well as restore the MS SQL databases from website panel. Please follow the steps

Backup

1, Log in to WSP (websitepanel)

2, Under the option "databases", select the "MS SQL" from the drop down

3, select the database which you want to backup, Say dotnetnuke50



Under the "Maintenance" tool, click “Backup” button

Specify backup name and select preferred method for storing backup. You could download it immediately or copy to some folder within your hosting space.

Restore

1, To restore SQL Server database click “Restore” button on database properties screen


Click “Browse…” button to select backup file from your local file system or tick “Hosting Space File” option and then pick backup file from hosting space file system.

Click “Restore” to finish restoration wizard.

This is how we restore and backup MS SQL databases using WSP.
