As part of our continued efforts to bring you effective and secure solutions, we are announcing the release of an updated version of our Real Time File Upload Scanner for cPanel.
The latest version is 2.2.1 and irrespective of the version you are currently on; we would request you to follow the procedure below to upgrade your installation of RTFUS.
On your server, login to SSH as root:
# cd /usr/src/
Remove an already existing Installer:
# rm aast_virus_upload_monitor.sh
It will asks for a confirmation, key in "y". If the file is not there, you can ignore this step.
Next, do:
# wget http://rep0.admin-ahead.com/sources/aast_upload_scanner/v2.2.1/aast_virus_upload_monitor.sh
# chmod 755 aast_virus_upload_monitor.sh
#./aast_virus_upload_monitor.sh
Choose the Upgrade option and once it is done, you are now at Version 2.2.1 of RTFUS.
To verify, login to your cPanel WHM; goto the plugins section, and you will see 2.2.1. The new version has removed Inotifywait and also includes an upgraded algorithm for malware detection.
